Schneider Electric has inaugurated the Innovation Hub on Wheels at Dubai Silicon Oasis, the integrated free zone technology park, showcasing its next-generation EcoStruxure architecture and platform that delivers IoT-enabled open and interoperable solutions across user segments.
The innovation hub on wheels was inaugurated by Dr Mohammed Alzarooni, vice chairman and CEO of DSOA, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric and Osman Sultan, CEO of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company in the presence of senior officials from both private and public sectors.
Designed to run digital demos using videos and customer references, the Innovation Hub on Wheels presents 17 user case studies across six domains of expertise that highlight the value of the EcoStruxure architecture. These user domains include building, transportation, water and waste water, oil and gas, utility and data centre.
Bringing the innovative platform closer to its customers as well as to a broader audience including energy and tech entrepreneurs, the mobile concept can also easily relocate to exhibition sites.
In his inaugural address, Dr Mohammed Alzarooni said: “Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority has continually demonstrated excellence in implementing smart city initiatives to achieve the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to transform Dubai into the smartest and happiest city in the world. It is indeed heartening to note that our integrated hi-tech park is today regarded as a destination of choice for public and private sector entities in the tech domain. This excellence in smart city initiatives is a true reflection of our partnerships with like-minded associates such as Schneider Electric.”
He added: “Schneider Electric was the first French business partner we welcomed at Dubai Silicon Oasis in 2008. It is a long business relationship that we deeply value. We are proud to be part of Schneider Electric’s success and look forward to further collaborations with the organisation in achieving many more successful milestones.”
