The amount of LTE base stations in Russia has grown by 27 percent since the beginning of the year to a total 147,878.
Mobile operator Megafon expanded its network with 17,321 base stations, and the number of LTE base stations grew by 8,955 at the mobile operator MTS and by 8,322 at Tele2 Russia. Beeline grew the least, adding 5,074 base stations in the period.
In total, 55,402 LTE base stations are available in Central federal district, 20,678 LTE base stations work in the Volga federal district, and more than 7,250 LTE base stations are available in Siberia.
Some 17 percent of all base stations of Russian mobile operators support the LTE standard.
