Belarusian mobile operator Belarusian Telecommunications Network (BeST, life:)), 80%-owned by Turkish telecoms company Turkcell, has added another 20 settlements to its 4G LTE network, continuing a process that has seen it aggressively expanding across the Republic this year.
The latest areas covered by LTE are: Kolyadichi, the towns of Ushachi, Dokshitsa, Miory and Glubokoe, Tolochin City, Beshenkovichi City and Senno City. Meanwhile other areas include Rossony, Shumilino, Chashniki, Zhodino, the towns of Nesvizh and Vileika, as well as a number of other villages such as Hatezhino, Svetly Put, Sloboda, Zabolotye, Gatovo and Slutsk. As a result of the latest expansion, BeST’s LTE services – hosted by LTE infrastructure provider Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud) which is responsible for rolling out a common 4G network in the Republic – are offered via more than 700 base transceiver stations across Belarus.
