The Telecommunications Company of Iran (TCI) is set to launch a new service called eWallet for facilitating online purchases, the Financial Tribune reported citing the operator’s website. TCI’s vice chairman Mozaffar Pour-Ranjbar added that the service will be launched by the end of the current fiscal year in March 2018, enabling customers to use NFC for making payments.
Such services are already offered in Iran by several businesses, such as the Central Bank of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration and Infotech.
