Vodafone Germany announced the launch of the first mobile base stations supporting speeds of 1 Gbps. The top speed is available initially in Duesseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin and Hanover, and Vodafone said it will soon offer smartphones supporting 1 Gbps LTE. All customers with LTE tariffs can access the new speed.
