The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has signed a “strategic alliance” with India’s Tech Mahindra to provide tech and digitisation solutions ahead of Saudi Vision 2030.
The alliance will leverage STC’s cloud and IoT platforms and the reach of its network penetration with Tech Mahindra’s experience in newer technologies such as big data and analytics, machine learning and robotic process automation (RPA).
Through the alliance, the two companies will construct and rollout digitisation solutions centred on the Cloud and IoT, covering a number of future smart city and industry specific needs in the public and private sector including health, oil and gas and transportation.
“Digitization is key to the success of Vision 2030’s transformation objectives, which is why we are partnering with Tech Mahindra to innovate around the cloud and IoT, and encourage innovation across the eco-system with the solutions and usage cases we develop together,” said STC Senior Vice President of Enterprise, Dr. Tarig M. Enaya.
Manish Vyas, President, Communications Business & Chief Executive - Network Services at Tech Mahindra, said that he was confident that Tech Mahindra “can immensely contribute to the Kingdom’s march towards achieving Vision 2030.”
“Driving the sustainability and momentum of the alliance’s innovation will be a series of Tech Mahindra driven knowledge transfer activities, aimed at creating jobs for experienced Saudi ICT professionals by providing the youth with high quality technical training,” he added.
Tech Mahindra – which is part of the Mahindra Group business conglomerate – currently has over 30 active customers in Saudi Arabia, where it has been operating since 2006.
