Vivo boosts IPTV in Sao Paulo

According to the telco, the prices of its convergent packages delivering broadband and satellite TV services will see impressive discounts across the state of Sao Paulo.

All the packages include the Vivo Play service, a video-on-demand (VOD) platform with its own content catalogue and integrated apps for HBO Go, Telecine Play and ESPN Play.

In addition, the Brazilian subsidiary of Telefónica has announced that its IPTV operation will be launched in nine more cities across the state, following the deployment of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network.

The cities of Hortolândia, Campo Limpo Paulista, Cosmópolis, Itatiba, Itu, Jandira, Mogi Mirim, Paulínia and Santa Barbara D'Oeste will have access to the IP-based pay-TV service along with broadband speeds of up to 300Mbps.
