The FSW-B5000 extension module, with equalised 5GHz signal analysis bandwidth, can be used to capture IEEE 802.11ay wideband signals for post-processing and to perform measurements on waveform candidates for the future 5G standard.
The amplitude and phase response of the full system can be characterised at the factory across the entire frequency range. The FSW-B5000 module supports centre frequencies between 9.5GHz and 90GHz.
For frequencies above 85GHz, the R&S FSW85 analyser needs to be equipped with the R&S FSW-B90G option, which extends the frequency range up to 90GHz.
The module can be used for transient and pulse measurement of chirp signals and hopped and pulsed radar signals required for automotive radar applications.
