Orange partners with Comarch to roll out fibre-to-the-home

Orange Polska has selected Comarch as its OSS software vendor for its fibre-to-the-home OSS4TTH project. Comarch will offer Orange the following best-of suite modules and functionality: its Network Inventory Management and Service Inventory – which allows an easy management of both network resources and services; its Service Order Management module – which enables customer order decomposition and dynamic services fulfilment process via its Service Fulfilment module; its Field Service Management module – which enables seamless management of workforce in the field; and its Trouble Ticketing System – which simplifies the management of reported errors. Comarch will migrate all of Orange’s physical, logical and service inventory data. It will also manage the integration of the solution into Orange’s BSS domain, network infrastructure and service delivery platforms via a managed API. Through the project, the tools which support Orange’s fibre-to-the-home deployment are streamlined, automating its network management and service delivery processes. In addition, costs are reduced in the OSS domain, it will improve business operations KPIs and flexibility in the deployment of new services, technologies and processes in the Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON). “Orange has always been on the forefront of innovation, and its FTTH offering is perfect proof of this. We are very excited to work with Orange to build their OSS environment, which will optimize the offering of innovative FTTH services and improve customer experience,” said Marcin Dąbrowski, VP of Telecommunications at Comarch. The first phase of the project is due to be some time this month, with the whole project planned to be completed in May 2019.
