After the official unveiling a couple of weeks ago, HMD Global has officially launched their first Nokia Android high-end smartphone at a special event, that was held at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, UAE. The new Nokia 8 smartphone features the world’s first ZEISS branded dual-lens camera in the market and is competitively priced as compared to the likes of Samsung, LG, and Apple.
As for hardware specifics, the Nokia 8 holds a thickness of 7.9mm and the weight of the new smartphone is only 160g. The smartphone is IP54 certified, which means that the Nokia 8 can resist any accidental water splashes or dirt. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack on the top of the device. Nokia also bets big with the new OZO Audio technology for 3D Spatial surround sound. The IPS display on the Nokia 8 is 5.3-inches with QHD resolution. The screen is protected from scratches with the help of Gorilla Glass 5.
The Nokia 8 comes with the latest technologies of mobile hardware. Powering the device is the Snapdragon 835 processor and the RAM included is 4GB, with is sufficient enough for all your multitasking needs. The internal storage packs 64GB of space and if you can expand for more by inserting a MicroSD card. One of the best features is that the Nokia 8 runs of a pure and stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. This means there is no sign of bloatware and Android will run at its best on the device.
