Norwegian mobile network operator (MNO) ice.net is aiming to achieve a population coverage level of 80% by the end of June 2018, up from the 40% it currently has, the cellco’s parent company has revealed in a presentation.
Furthermore, with around 24% of ice.net’s data traffic now carried over its own infrastructure, Ice Group has said that network optimisation is expected to increase this figure to around 70%, though no timeframe was given for such growth.
Ice said Norwegian B2C churn had improved to 23 percent in July from 30 percent in June and the same rate in May. The operator aims to improve ARPU by converting low-ARPU price group plans in its existing subscriber plans, and by increasing the new sales share of high-ARPU price group plans.
Ice added that media spending had fallen to NOK 117 per sale in July from NOK 342 in June and NOK 1,263 in March.
