T-Mobile’s Dutch OTT platform Knippr has launched an app for live streaming on Samsung smart TVs.
The new app brings the service to all 2017 Samsung smart TV models enabling viewers to subscribe to Knippr without the need for a cable or IPTv subscription and without a set-top box or dongle. Knippr was launched by T-Mobile in June 2016 as an a la carte OTT service.
“With the addition of Knippr to the Samsung smart TV ecosystem, we put the next important step in meeting customer needs,” said Rick Fens, senior content manager at Samsung Benelux.
“Offering live TV, without additional cables, set-top boxes or remotes, was high on our wish list. And thanks to Knippr, we can now offer it.
