The Bulgarian incumbent Vivacom ended the first half with 426,000 subscribers to its pay-TV services, or 9.2% more than in the same period last year.
Of these, the number opting for IPTV rose by 10%, from 39.9% to 43.8% of the total, over the same period.
Meanwhile, its fixed broadband total increased by 10% to 452,000, of which 53.3% (up from 47.8% a year earlier) opted for FTTx.
In its latest set of results, Vivacom says it remains the largest provider of IPTV services in Bulgaria. It is also the market leader in fixed internet, with a 26% market share.
Vivacom Group’s revenues in H1 amounted to BGN432 million (€220 million), or 0.6% more than in the corresponding period in 2016, while EBITDA was BGN161 million (+2.5%).
