Russian mobile operator Megafon has expanded the coverage of its LTE network in the Republic of Buryatia, reports Infpol.ru. It has started providing LTE services in the town of Sosnovo-Ozyorskoye in the municipality of Yeravninsky. The operator has also expanded the coverage of its 3G network in the Yeravninsky, Barguzin and Bichura municipalities, as well as in the city of Ulan-Ude.
Megafon has also launched its 4G services in the Ust-Ilim municipality in the Irkutsk region. Some 90,000 residents can now use broadband at up to 50 Mbps in the towns of Ust-Ilim and Zheleznogorsk.
