China Mobile added 3.07 million new mobile customers in June, ending the month with a total of 866.5 million customers. China Telecom attracted 2.83 million new mobile customers for a total 229.85 million at 30 June. China Unicom added 1.09 million mobile billing subscribers in the month, for a total 269.4 million at the end of June.
China Mobile still had the largest 4G user base in China in June, with 593.6 million 4G customers, which represents an increase of 10.41 million in the month. China Telecom added 4.77 million 4G subscribers for a total 152.02 million, and China Unicom gained 5.43 million 4G users to top 138.8 million 4G subscribers at end-June.
In the fixed broadband market, Unicom added 16,000 net customers in the month, for a total 76.92 million customers at the end of June. China Telecom gained 810,000 wireline broadband customers to reach 128.10 million, and China Mobile added 2.56 fixed broadband subscribers for a total 93.04 million at end-June.
