Vodafone Turkey's service revenue was up 13.9 percent organically to EUR 554 million in the fiscal first quarter to June, according to a trading update from Vodafone Group. The increase was supported by continued good growth in consumer contract, strong fixed customer momentum and a robust performance in Enterprise, the company said.
The operator ended the quarter with 22.830 million mobile customers, an increase of 50,000 from the previous quarter. Vodafone continued to growth in the postpaid market, adding 286,000 customers in the three months to take postpaid to 48.5 percent of the total base. Prepaid losses swelled to 233,000, compared to a loss of 133,000 in the year-earlier period. ARPU was up in both the prepaid and postpaid segments, taking the blended result to TRY 29.3 from TRY 28.1 in the previous quarter and TRY 26.7 a year ago.
In the fixed market, the company added 31,000 new broadband customers, half the total of a year ago, to end June with a total 593,000.
