As part of its efforts to promote scientific research and strengthen cooperation frameworks with leading scientific and academic centres in the world, the Dubai Data Establishment has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai, RIT Dubai, with the goal of developing a specialised academic programme to award a Master's Degree in Data Science.
The MoU was signed at the Smart Dubai Office by Younis Al-Nasser, CEO of Dubai Data Establishment, and Dr. Yousef Al-Assaf, President of RIT Dubai.Under the MoU, the Dubai Data Establishment will develop the main objectives of the programme, provide necessary support for developing the Master's Degree programme, support the laboratories necessary for the success of the programme, and extend finance for the first batch of students pursuing the Master’s programme.Dubai Data Establishment will also provide all necessary support to secure scientific accreditation for the programme, participate in identifying research and applied projects, and provide all services to drive the progress of the educational programme.Younis Al-Nasser said, "We are proud of this academic cooperation with Rochester Institute of Technology, a premier educational institution. This is part of our efforts to enhancing cooperation on areas of mutual interest, especially in scientific research and building knowledge. Our goal is to expand the scope of academic work to nurture students, who wish to upgrade their knowledge, especially in Data Science, one of the vital scientific sectors."
