Telecom Italia (TIM) is accelerating its fibre-to-the-cab (FTTC) rollout in Rome and expects to cover 98 percent of the capital by the end of 2017, reports Il Sole 24 Ore, citing the company's CEO Flavio Cattaneo. The operator's FTTC network currently covers 88 percent of the city, while its FTTH network will be triple its coverage to 60 percent of Rome over the next 12 months, said the chief executive.
