Through this move, Atresplayer completes its suite of software for Android products, as it already has several Android mobile apps and is integrated with Chromecast. In fact, Google’s dongle marked the first move of Atresplayer into the smart TV segment back in November 2014.
“With this launch, Atresplayer enables Android TV users to access a comprehensive portfolio of films, music and games, and features like voice control,” said the company.
Atresplayer is Atresmedia’s and the most used VOD service in Spain; according to the latest figures, nearly half of VOD users have watched content through the platform.
