For 24 consecutive months, subscribers to the Claro Max package will have unlimited access to Claro video’s video-on-demand (VOD) catalogue when they download the Claro video app to their mobile devices via Google Play or the App Store.
"This way, they (Claro Max subscribers) will have access to our entire streaming catalogue of films, series, concerts, documentaries and kids programming, as well as being able to download their favourite content and use the pay-per view section without consuming data,” said Vanessa Solís, manager, added-value services, Claro.
In addition to subscription VOD (SVOD) and transactional VOD (TVOD), Claro has announced that the Claro Sports programming will also be available live and without data consumption across selected mobile devices.
Through this move, Claro increases the value of for its premium mobile subscribers to the streaming video service.
Claro video is also available for free for the company’s broadband clients, and offered as an add-on to the rest of its commercial packages. The América Móvil company does not deliver the OTT service as a standalone platform.
