Jazz announces first quarter results

The recent merger of Pakistan’s no. 1 mobile operator, Mobilink, having 40 million subscribers (before merger) with Warid Telecom has restrengthened its market position and finally come up together with around 55 million users. Jazz Announces Q1 2017 Report with 5.4% Increase in Revenue.

Jazz revealed that they have generated total 38.7 billion PKR of revenue in the very first quarter of 2017. This means that that Q1 revenue increased upto 0.5% as compared to the combined revenue of Warid and Mobilink last year. Revenue of both companies was 36.8 in first quarter, Billion back in 2016.

Jazz told that they expect to good bye this quarter with 52.5 million customers as compared to 48.3 Million last year. It shows that company is successful to acquire more 8.7% growth in company’s users.

Jazz offered 3G in more than 350 cities of Pakistan however 4G is provided in 50 cities which is not a bad figure.

LTM CAPEX revenue ration decreased to 17.7% in first quarter 2017. However Capex increased to PKR 3.6 billion in Q1 2017. The operating cash flow margin is calculated to be 34% in Q1.

According to financial highlights, Jazz Average return per user is 231 PKR/month. Whereas voice usage in minuted per user per month are 609. Date usage per month is reported to be 465MBs/month. It is considered as little low but is 20170 terabytes per month.
