International content consultancy 3Vision has secured a bundle of global linear channels for the service packaged across a range of subscription tiers for the recently launched MTN TV IPTV and TV everywhere service in Cyprus.
With the offer, its first step into the highly competitive Cypriot TV market, MTN TV is providing subscribers with over 41 local and international channels in the standard pack, and 54 local and international channels in the complete pack. The product includes functionalities not yet seen before in Cyprus such as network PVR.
MTN Cyprus contracted 3Vision to assist with sourcing and acquiring the linear carriage rights to the international channel offering. “We are delighted to have assisted MTN with the acquisition of a slate of leading internationally recognised channels,” commented 3Vision’s COO Jonathan Nickel. “MTN TV is an exciting service available in the Cypriot market. Its affordability in the market makes the product even more attractive and accessible to a wider customer base. We expect interactive and multiscreen TV features to become the norm in the market, as multi-device content consumption continues to grow as the provision of mobile data shifts to benefit consumers.”
