Movistar Ecuador (Telefonica) has announced the launch of 4G services in Santo Domingo, the country's fourth most populous city and capital of the Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas province. The operator said customers throughout the city will be able to access the 4G network at no extra cost via the 30 LTE-enabled devices it currently offers. Movistar currently offers 4G in Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Ambato and Azogues as well as the most popular resorts, including Esmeradas and Santa Elena.
