French regulator Arcep confirmed the formal adoption of new rules (Decision 2017-0126) modifying the way the quality of service (QoS) for fixed internet and telephone services is measured. The new rules amend previous measures (Decision No. 2013-0004) by setting a new approach to QoS measurement. In particular, the regulator has decided to stop tests performed in a controlled environment, replacing them with a methodology based on crowdsourcing tools to reflect users' experience.
