Latvian mobile operator LMT has deployed its first base station supporting 5G technology. The operator is cooperating with Nokia in developing 5G and plans to become one of first providers of 5G services in Europe.
The new base station has been deployed in the Centre of Exact Sciences of the University of Latvia in the neighbourhood of Tornkalns in the capital city.
