Internet TV provider Zattoo has added a video-on-demand (VOD) service to the white label IPTV platform it supplies to Swiss network operators.
The VOD solution complementing the existing live TV service has been offered by the first network operators since the beginning of this year, providing their customers with the latest blockbusters and popular classics for a cinema experience at home.
The line-up comprises more than 2,800 films from various genres including adventure, action, anime, art-house, children’s entertainment, classics, crime thrillers, documentaries, drama, fantasy, horror and independent movies.
The IPTV service is fully hosted and managed by Zattoo, allowing network operators to roll out a complete multiscreen TV product under their own brand with a customised product profile within a few months.
The films are supplied by Swiss VOD provider Homedia. The business model is based on transactional VOD (T-VOD) with operator billing; users pay for each film they rent through their monthly invoice.
The T-VOD service is also available for second screens (e.g. iOS, Android, web browsers).
