AT&T is boosting its mobile network ahead of the Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans. The operator deployed Four Cell on Wheels (COWs) on this occasion and updated its Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to support the French Quarter. These upgrades will help with the expected wireless network traffic from crowds in New Orleans. The enhancements and boosting of the operator LTE network capacity in the French Quarter by 77 percent are meant to help improve reliability and data speeds throughout the event.
