The roll-out of FTTH in the Dutch region of Midden-Brabant will start on 14 January, covering around 4,000 homes in 16 municipalities.
Four local cooperatives are working together on the project, along with local businesses and industry parks. Around 600 km of fibre will be deployed at a cost of around EUR 13 million. Around 45 percent of the financing is provided by the cooperative members, and Rabobank has provided the financing for the rest.
Fiber, NetRebel, Stipte and TriNed are the first service providers on the network, offering packages of broadband, TV and telephony.
