Vodafone Turkey data traffic surges in 2016

Vodafone Turkey that its average calling time per month per subscriber was 462 minutes in 2016. Subscribers also used a total of 235,000 TB of data, that's an increase of 119 percent year-on-year. Since it launched ten years ago, the operator said it made investments of TRY 20 billion. Also, it invested TRY 80 million in Vodafone Freezone, its Vodafone youth brand since it released it in May 2011. Vodafone FreeZone reached more than 120 million contacts via Facebook and Twitter accounts. More than 400,000 Vodafone FreeZone users so far benefited from Spotify special offers for young people, the operator said.

The operator's mobile healthcare platform 'Vodafone Cep Saglik' is touching the lives of more than 1.2 million people. The Vodafone mobile wallet application (Vodafone Cep Cuzdan) was downloaded by over 400 subscribers in 3 years. The Vodafone Avantaj Cepte application, which offers discounts to all Vodafone users and has more than 120 brands and 300 campaigns delivered in 2016, was downloaded more than 1.8 million times. The Vodafone Yanimda application, which offers surprise gifts to its subscriptions every Monday and which enables users to perform many transactions with Vodafone, reached 11 million downloads, the company said.
