Snapchat usage in the UK increased by a quarter in the UK during Christmas, helping the platform overtake Facebook for the first time. Snapchat continues to be among the highest performance and battery-guzzling apps around, but ease of usage and the content it offers resulted in it's hard-fought victory over Facebook.
EE has also revealed the most watched TV content on Christmas day. The Queen's speech was the most watched, followed by Strictly and the Great Christmas Bake Off, both of which are immensely popular. However, Boxing Day MOTD and Eastenders beat the Queen's speech as the most watched episodes on the EE network. Strictly and the Great Christmas Bake Off followed closely behind and were almost head to head.
