Mobile operator MTS Belarus has announced that it plans to launch its LTE services in regional centres by the end of this year. At the beginning of 2017, the services will become available in large municipal centres. It will extend its LTE services from Minsk to Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Mogilyov and Grodno this year, and 75 percent of the country‘s population will be covered.
The operator invites its customers to buy LTE smartphones in advance. Most 4G smartphones sold by the operator are available under a seasonal promotion. MTS Belarus provides LTE services using infrastructure belonging to state-owned operator beCloud.
