Pakistan Telecommunications Corporation Limited (PTCL) will provide Netflix content to customers in South Asian country, following a deal between the two companies.
PTCL and Netflix will use their resources to maximise the viewing experience and penetration of Netflix subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services in Pakistan, following the agreement. In addition, PTCL will support and promote original Netflix content in Pakistan.
“Digital entertainment is PTCL’s key priority and our partnership with Netflix is another step in this direction. We look forward to working with Netflix to offer new and exciting services including world class Netflix original series and movies in Pakistan,” said Adnan Shahid, chief commercial officer, PTCL.
Tony Zameczkowski, vice president, business development for Asia, Netflix, added: “We are excited to partner with PTCL in Pakistan and are looking forward to providing high quality entertainment content for the Pakistani consumers.”
Netflix’s video streaming service now has over 86 million members in over 190 countries.
