iFlix plans to launch its online video streaming service in Indonesia by June, in partnership with state-owned operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom), Nikkei reports. In Indonesia, the iFlix service will initially be available exclusively to subscribers of IndiHome, Telkom's home broadband internet and pay-TV service. Subscribers will be required to sign up for iFlix through IndiHome's smartphone app.
Customers will be able to access the iFlix platform for IDR 39,000 (approximately USD 3.1) per month. IndiHome subscribers will be able to use the service free of charge for up to 18 months. The cost of IndiHome packages ranges from IDR 450,000 to IDR 700,000 per month, depending on the internet speed.
