Ooredoo Tunisia is now offering its customers an online streaming service from Starz Play Arabia.
The subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service offers a range of high definition (HD) premium Western content, with many TV series aired at the same time or shortly after their premiere in the US or UK.
The Tunisian telecommunications operator is offering a 30-day free trial, after which the SVOD service will cost subscribers either TND3 per week or TND10 a month.
Starz Play Arabia carries TV series from Starz Originals, Sony, CBS, Showtime, MGM, Shine and Lionsgate, as well as films from studios including Starz, Warner Bros, Disney, NBC Universal, Sony MGM, Paramount, Frontrow and Teleview.
Ooredoo Tunisia already carries a selection of Tunisian TV channels from MobiBledi and MobiForja, which comprises 23 cross-genre channels.
The introduction of Starz Play Arabia in Tunisia follows a deal sealed with the telco’s Qatar-based parent company Ooredoo in July 2015. Ooredoo has exclusive rights to show more than 3,500 hours of programmes, on-demand content and films across its group footprint.
Speaking at the time, Maaz Sheikh, president, Starz Play Arabia, said: “We really appreciate the vision and momentum that Ooredoo has brought to our partnership and we look forward to many mutual benefits and more entrepreneurial ventures like this in the Middle East.”
