Mauritius-based ISP Smile Communications Tanzania has unveiled plans to extend its 4G LTE network to the regions of Mbeya, Mwanza, Moshi, Dodoma and Morogoro. Alongside the LTE rollout, Smile also launched a new solution for business customers, which allows users to manage one data package with multiple SIMs, regardless of the user’s location or the device used. Commenting on the developments, Smile’s manager, Eric Behner was quoted by East African Business Week as saying: ‘We believe that through this regional network expansion and introduction of new products, Smile is set to provide unrivalled super-fast internet access to the rest of Tanzania. Our priority is to ensure that our customers experience and benefit from the power of high speed mobile broadband compared to the narrowband services available to date, including how to effectively manage the superior experience in terms of data consumption.’
