MatrixStream Technologies is prepping the MatrixCloud 4K OTT IPTV network DVR solution.
The new service consists of the IMX X1M DVR recording server and the IMX X1s scalable NDVR storage solution, and is bundled as part of the MatrixCloud IPTV software-as-a-service offering for broadband providers. It also features MatrixCrypt DRM, and allows operators to have their own branded MatrixEverywhere IPTV players for Apple iPads, Apple iPhones, Android smartphones, Android tablets, PC players, MAC players and set-top boxes.
Transparency Market Research expects the IPTV market to grow at a CAGR of 18.1% between 2014 and 2020, reaching a market value worth $79.38 billion by 2020 — with over-the-top (OTT) accounting for a healthy portion of that.
