The Saudi Telecom Company (STC) will be the first Saudi company to place direct ads on Instagram starting 9 September 2015. The move is part of the company’s efforts to target new audience segments. The campaign will feature attractive promotions highlighting STC’s new offers.
STC stays abreast of developments in new advertising channels in the Middle East, combining traditional with social media (SM) in order to increase the company’s exposure.
Instagram has become one of the most popular and fastest-growing SM platforms surpassing 300 million users globally, and sharing around 70 million images on a daily basis, according to the latest statistics.
Instagram is also very popular as an e-commerce platform, especially in the GCC region.
