Ooredoo has announced yet another successful khareef with over 12,000 visitors passing by its state-of-the-art two-story stand at the 2015 Salalah Tourism Festival. Taking centre stage this year were the two innovative promotions Visitor Line and More Recharge. The specially designed Visitor Line offer allowed prepaid users visiting the Festival to share more of their holiday with friends and family anywhere around the world.
Ghaneem Al-Mashikhi, Director of the Dhofar region for Ooredoo said: “This year’s Festival was our most successful yet, delivering even greater value and connectivity to our customers in the Governorate of Dhofar. We had many milestone moments during this Khareef, including our interactions with more customers than ever before and who expressed a keen interest in our latest promotions and services that were tailor-made for their holiday.”
In June, Ooredoo had also deployed additional 2G, 3G+, and 4G sites in preparation for the Khareef season to provide visitors with better coverage, bandwidth and voice quality. All Ooredoo base stations across the Wilayats of Salalah, Mirbat and Mugsayl were upgraded to double 3G+ capacity, all part of their network modernisation across the country. The company demonstrated its new 4.5G network for the first time outside of Muscat at its stand at the Festival.
With its prime and highly visible location, Ooredoo attracted over twice the number of customers to its new stand compared to last year. The cutting edge design represented Ooredoo’s vibrant brand and the spacious set-up allowed the company to demonstrate its wide range of products and services in a more engaging way and inspiring environment.
