Northern Ireland firm selected for £300m UK ICT for schools project

Northern Ireland IT firm Capita has been selected by the Crown Commercial Service to support the £300m national ICT for Education Framework Agreement for the UK.

It is expected that schools and other educational establishments across the UK will commission more than £300m of work through the providers appointed to the commercial vehicle over the next four years.

Capita Managed IT Solutions – which provides managed technology solutions for more than 1,100 schools in Northern Ireland and works with education establishments across the UK – will bid to supply a wide range of technology, including services, networks, software, internet, cabling and data services.

“This commercial vehicle is a fantastic new way for schools across the country to ensure that they can find the right solution for their needs,” said Ed Brown, managing director of Capita Managed IT Solutions.

“Capita’s scale and experience in the education technology market means that it is well placed to deliver the breadth of work on this agreement. Its track record of delivering innovative services for schools speaks for itself.”
