The African Egyptian Centre for Telecommunication Regulation (EG-ATRC), under the National Telecommunication Regulatory Agency, conducted an online training course titled “Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Techniques and Methods” from April 6-10. The course attracted approximately 28 experts and specialists from around the globe.
The training covered a wide range of topics related to frequency spectrum management, including the fundamentals of spectrum monitoring and analysis, wireless monitoring techniques for optimal spectrum use, identifying interference causes, and conducting electromagnetic field measurements. The course also delved into the foundational principles and rules of spectrum monitoring as outlined by the International Amateur Radio Union (IAF).
This course marked the first collaboration between the African Egyptian Centre for Telecommunication Organization Training and the ITU Academy, further strengthening the Centre’s regional position. It also underscores its growing role in supporting and enhancing human expertise in communications and information technology. Additionally, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has accredited the African Egyptian Centre for Telecommunication Organization as an international training center, recognized by the Federation Training Academy.
