Tele2 and Telenor Sweden, through their joint venture Net4Mobility, have continued to improve coverage throughout Sweden. The latest report from the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) shows that more parts of the country are now reached by high browsing speeds, a result of the largest network modernization ever and a massive expansion of the joint mobile network.
Through joint network investments in Net4Mobility, Telenor Sweden and Tele2 are building more capacity and coverage at a rapid pace. The collaboration provides more access to fast and stable mobile data services throughout Sweden, not just in the big cities. The joint network is an important part of Sweden's digital infrastructure.
Net4Mobility operates a nationwide 4G network and a rapidly expanding 5G network. The technical modernization was completed in 2024, and now the work continues to strengthen and densify the networks. Today, Net4Mobility's network covers 99.9 percent of the population, and capacity has increased as older networks are shut down and new solutions are expanded.
Björn Lindberg, Network Manager, Tele2
We have carried out one of the largest network modernizations in history – with a focus on both capacity and reach. Our customers are already noticing the difference, and now we see that this investment is also visible in PTS's report. It is proof that we are building a stable and customer-focused network that meets the demands of the future.
