During French President Emmanuel Macron’s official visit to Egypt, Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Egypt, shared the company’s strategic commitment to advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation across Egypt. In his remarks, Eng. Shaker highlighted Orange Egypt’s increasing role as a catalyst for AI-powered innovation, particularly through its flagship initiative, the Orange Digital Center for Development and Innovation (ODC), and the growing network of Orange Digital Centers across Egypt. These centers have become vital resources for supporting entrepreneurship, skills development, and inclusive technological advancement.
He also discussed the crucial role of AI in shaping Egypt’s economic future, emphasizing the importance of international partnerships to attract sustainable investment, enhance local capabilities, and create scalable, locally relevant AI solutions.
