Airtel Uganda has commissioned five new network sites in Kabale Municipality, bolstering its network connectivity in the region.
The expansion is part of Airtel’s ongoing efforts to enhance coverage and provide seamless digital experiences for customers in the greater Kigezi region.
Airtel Uganda Sales Director Wongani Muthayi said the new sites will improve coverage, call clarity and internet speeds for customers in the area.
“Connectivity is more than just a service; it’s a gateway to regional trade, education, business growth, healthcare and financial inclusion,” Muthayi said.
The new sites serve areas including Kyetobokeire, Kekuubo, Nyabushabi and Rwakabara.
Kabale Municipality Deputy Mayor Kedress Mutabazi praised Airtel Uganda for expanding its network to support the region’s growing economy.
Airtel Uganda has invested in a strong network infrastructure, including 96 Airtel Money branches, 3,400 agents and two service centers.
The company aims to support national development through continued investment in network infrastructure across Uganda.
