Play clinches two 700 MHz frequency blocks for 5G network

Play has acquired two valuable blocks of the 700 MHz band, strengthening its network capabilities and paving the way for expanded 5G investments, improved coverage, and enhanced service quality. On March 25, 2025, the frequency auction organized by the Office of Electronic Communications concluded, with Play securing two frequency blocks: 723-728 MHz and 778-783 MHz (Block E), as well as 728-733 MHz and 783-788 MHz (Block F). With these additional frequency resources, Play will accelerate network investments, significantly impacting its long-term growth.

The auction results highlight Play's commitment to advancing network infrastructure and enhancing service quality. Once the frequency reservation decisions are finalized, the operator will launch further investments in 5G technology nationwide. This will enable Play to expand service availability, increase network efficiency, and introduce new opportunities for customers.
