EdVentures invests in two promising Egyptian edtech startups

EdVentures, the corporate venture capital arm of Nahdet Misr Publishing Group, has made six-figure US dollar investments in two promising Egyptian ed-tech startups: Schoolz and Ibn Sina Training Academy. This move brings EdVentures’ portfolio to 24 startups, solidifying its position as a key player in the MENA region’s ed-tech sector.

Schoolz, founded in 2020 by Abdel Monsef Ismail, Ayman Hamza, and Hosni Ahmed, utilizes technology to provide safe, affordable, and reliable student transportation solutions. On the other hand, Ibn Sina, established in 2017, offers specialized medical training programs, including courses in medical translation, coding, and digital marketing.

These investments are part of EdVentures’ EdTech Ventures Studio (EDVS) program, which aims to support and scale early-stage ed-tech startups. Schoolz and Ibn Sina were selected from 10 startups that participated in the first EDVS bootcamp, showcasing their strong growth potential and positive impact on education and professional development.

Through these latest investments, EdVentures continues to support startups that address real-world challenges with innovative technology, advancing its mission to enhance education and professional development.
