BBC Studios and Dubai-based carrier flydubai have announced the launch of a BBC Kids branded space for flydubai passengers on their inflight entertainment system.
From 1 December 2024, access to content on the BBC Kids channel will keep pre-schoolers and older children as well as their carers entertained onboard. Passengers will have access to world class global hits including the International Emmy award-winning Hey Duggee and the multi-award-winning Bluey, the most streamed series in the US this year so far.
For younger children, other programmes available onboard include the fun and exciting adventures of Supertato as he tries to beat off the evil pea, Andy’s Global Adventures, which takes viewers around the globe exploring nature’s mystery and animal behaviours, the thrill-seeking Go-Jetters, and the life-affirming series about the loving relationship between a four-year-old girl and her grandmother in JoJo & Gran Gran.
For older kids, programmes include award-winning wildlife expert Steve Backshall’s Deadly 60 and Steve & Aneeshwar Go Wild where Steve teams up with young environmental enthusiast Aneeshwar to meet amazing animals and reveal the surprising and unusual ways they are connected in the wild. Also available to watch is Love Productions popular cooking competition Junior Bake-Off, educational historical sketch comedy series Horrible Histories and Jamie Johnson which tells the story of a young boy trying to achieve his dream of becoming a famous footballer.
