The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), in collaboration with The Garage (Disrupt), held the "Demo Day" event, marking the graduation of 20 startups from seven different countries. This initiative by CST seeks to link startups and young entrepreneurs in the Space industry with investors, foster innovative solutions to benefit both local and international entrepreneurs, and strengthen the Space sector ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
The event was held in collaboration with The Garage (Disrupt) in Riyadh, which showcased innovative solutions in satellite communications, orbital sustainability and AI-driven solutions, among other Space related technologies. Through this initiative, CST aims to highlight the role of entrepreneurs and startups in offering innovative ideas, as well as to enhance their opportunities for securing investments and strategic partnerships that contribute to the development and growth of their projects, while also creating investment opportunities in the Space sector.
The "Demo Day" event is part of Space Tech Incubation Program, an initiative by CST under the umbrella of the Space Entrepreneurship Alliance (SEA). It is held in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), The Garage, the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), MindCloud and Mach49. This initiative is a result of the joint efforts to build a solid infrastructure that supports entrepreneurs, fosters innovation in the Space sector and empowers national talent and capabilities while leveraging global expertise.
