Telenor Group has announced an expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate digital transformation across its units in the Nordics and Asia.
In a statement, Telenor explained that leveraging Google Cloud’s unified data and analytics platform will enhance customer experience, support new product development, and simplify operations.
Specifically, the Nordic group will utilise Google Cloud’s BigQuery, integrated with Vertex AI and Looker, to transform its existing on-premise data platforms into a cloud-native data and analytics orchestration platform called Nova.
Telenor claimed that Nova will be capable of implementing any cloud instance, harnessing data and AI within its core operations to enable hyper-personalised customer experiences, optimise network operations, and support operational excellence.
The operator added that it will use a range of data tools from Google Cloud to reduce the time required to analyse data, enabling faster development of data and AI-driven products.
“Data is foundational to AI development and enterprise transformation. We are excited to partner with Google Cloud to unleash the full power of our data to better serve our customers, increase the speed of insight and innovation, and support our AI-first ambitions,” said Amol Phadke, EVP and Group Chief Technology Officer of Telenor Group.
