Paramount has told its UK subscribers that its updating its terms of use.
The streamer is changing the text to include all the various ways that can be used to sign up for the service that currently costs £6.99 per month.
In an accompanying email Paramount says: “We have added wording which makes clear that any content and subscriptions to Paramount+ may include promotional content, advertising, sponsorship and product placement to some degree, including adverts that are contained within live content. We have also clarified that you must not use ad-blocker technology to try and prevent the display of ads anywhere on our service.”
The new terms also reference ad-ons and bundles.
Paramount is moving to three tiers, Basic with ads, Standard and Premium.
The Standard and Premium plans are available in France at €7.99 and €10.99/month, respectively, but they haven’t yet launched in the UK.
The new terms suggest the launch is getting closer.
