Orange Business has successfully completed the initial phase of establishing a new data center and communications setup for the Grifols Egypt for Plasma Derivatives (GEPD) facility located in the Medical City within the New Administrative Capital. This collaboration, facilitated through the ACUD commercial and telco data center, is pivotal in supporting Egypt’s goal to be self-sufficient in plasma-derived medicines.
The partnership delivers comprehensive co-location services, communication solutions, equipment procurement, and expert services throughout the project’s construction and future operations. Grifols Egypt, a joint venture between Egypt’s National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) and the global healthcare firm Grifols, is set to bolster the Egyptian healthcare system significantly.
Orange Business, leveraging over 25 years of operational experience in Egypt and extensive technical expertise, plays a crucial role in navigating the project’s regulatory and legal landscapes, ensuring its success. The ACUD data center is equipped with advanced infrastructure and technology, certified for design, build, and operate (DBO) standards, offering a range of hosting options from dedicated servers to cloud services.
This integrated network infrastructure will connect essential facilities including a plasma laboratory, data center, plasma warehouse, donation centers, and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, optimizing operations and ensuring the timely delivery of vital therapeutics to patients.
